Anytime I go to Patong the tailors always seem to follow me 100 m down the street asking me all sorts of silly questions.
I clearly tell them that I dont want to buy a suit but they still want to talk to me and guess where im from etc.
Maybe they are just being friendly but it is so annoying.
Anyone else experience this?
What with all the Tailors in Patong following you down the street?

Yeah, I wonder if this tactic actually works? Because I would never go into a shop to buy anything if there salesman was chasing me down the street. I mean what are they thinking?

They will try anything to sell their rubbish. Don't answer any questions or shakes hands, they are attempting a basic sales technique by building up a bit of history with you, so the next time they see you they hope to engage you further and persuade you to "look not buy" their poor quality offerings.
If necessary tell them to f... off, it works for me.
