Khaosan Rd is a decent place but too touristy. But at times I dont mind it, polus there are good bars in near by Khaosan rd.
Silom has some really good place, Patpong is abit too much for me.
Anyoneknow any hidden gems around?

I can only agree! Spicy is a good club to visit and one of the few places that is actually open until around 7 or 8 am.
Another advantage is, that If you still feel like going out after the Spicy closes, you can cross the street and hang out at the Swing club.until 12 am.
Be warned, you will need some time to recover

What about RCA?

RCA seems to be a good place to go out. There are many clubs, pubs and bars to visit, but I think RCA closes at 2 am sharp.
BOSS club is also a possibility, as is BOSSY club.
BOSS and BOSSY are quite similar to SPICY but they offer a chill out area where you can play pool.
As for me, I always end up at SPICY and Swing anyway.
Cheers

Objection, your honor!
Haven't had a single night without appropriate fun in the "City of Angels" in my 10+ years of being an expat here. Decent Clubbing, great dancefun in Discos, live bands and music - "Filth City" in Chonburi (Pattaya) is a resort area full of holiday-dudes with too much money to toss around, can't really compare.
I should add, that I frequent the outskirts of Bangkok and not the Sukhumvit tourist traps

Johnny, for a guy that seems to hate thailand you seem to spend an awful lot of time on this THAILAND forum.
Isn't that like going to a cake shop to look at the cakes when you're heavily diabetic so can't enjoy the product?...
Maybe you should just find another way to spend your spare time?
