Are you for real? I have been to the UK for 3 years working and thought it was a nice place, seems like anywhere you go you will be miserable.
I like Thailand alot and can see how some people may not like it. But for me the biggest attractions for me is.

G'day mates,
My name is Philip from Fremantle Western Australia, have been to Thailand with the Navy in 1986 and only saw Papong Road, but have been twice in the last year and have been to Chiang Mai which I really like, Phuket in which I saw many old shipmates and Bangkok.
Loved every moment of my recent times, have fallen in love with the country and the culture but trying to understand the way Thai women think will take many a life time.
I am a 46 year old retired guy, divorced with no kids and now no excess baggage.
Came to the forum to continue to find more information and also look for any possible volunteer work in Thailand as I will be coming for 3 Months starting December 10 and will be spending Xmas with my Thai friend and family.

Pleased to meet you all
