I would say to try and keep violence down. Some open later but most will close and most will go home to sleep.
I think the less drunk people out on the street at 4am the better.

As far as I know that is the law...and only after bribing the police the clubs might be able to close later.

I also heard that there is a new Policeman around (probably a high ranked one) and he is really eager to enforce that law.

Which means that for example Spicy also closes around 3 am at the moment.

Hope it will change soon.

I believe a politicians son was bashed in a nightclub and his father is making sure to close the clubs down, but probably wont last long. The "new" police man is probaly his friend

It's the law but some rules in Thailand can be flexible with money.

If the club makes good money, then a small donation can keep it open to anytime.
Money is very powerful in Thailand

some closes at 3am though.
And some in the late morning. ;)

Depends where you are. Outside of the big city, it can be common for clubs, karaoke, bars, go-gos, etc to close much later {4am/5am}......upcountry, this rule is not observed not enforced.

I think it's quite a problem this 2am close down. its obviously related to some police business whatever but at the end all people move from bars to the illegal street bars on the Sukhumvit Rd....from 2 to 6 or even later. few days ago, walking down Sukhumvit Rd at 6.30am heading work I still could see farangs with girls at street bars being there from the night to the early day light! was quite a weird show to look at when u hv just woke up! com'on people get a room!!! :o

I think they should have a place where there is only bars and clubs that open till 6am. Somewhere there is no residents and away from everything, RCA would be a good place for that if they didn't have all those shops.

So does anyone know of any clubs that open late?

I dont think its a problem related to the noise that people make or the loud music, I think its because of the bribe and stuff like that. Narz close at 3/3.30

Tahksins government imposed a bunch of bs 'morality' laws in 2000-2001 which basically killed the party vibe in Bangkok and elsewhere.

I was kinda hoping this new prime minister would relax things again but he's pretty hardcore himself..

The logic is it keeps the profit there for the police and concentrates the 'entertainment' to certain areas of Bangkok...

NWO-morale apostles and party goers alike in Phnom Phen, Kuala Lumpur, Penang and even Singarore applauded Bangkok and increased their business since! The "No-smoking" crusade added more to it. I love Penang & Phnom Penh! :drinks:

I hear you on that one Siam. Thailand lost it's legendary nightlife reputation ever since 2001 onwards.
I was in bars on the Bangkok fringes when cops would come and bang on the door to get us to close at 1130 pm for christs sake!
