Hi everyone,

My boyfriend and I have decided to take some holidays in May, and we are going to Thailand because he got some family in Bangkok! We have 10 days off and we were thinking about going to Chiang Mai for a few days, because i heard that Bangkok is very crowded and that we can have good rest in Chiang Mai. it's my first trip in Asia, so i'm really excited about it!

In Bangkok, we gonna stay at his parents' house, but in Chiang Mai, we'll need an accommodation! and i've no idea what to take! is it better to take a hostel or a hotel there? has anyone been to Chiang Mai and found a great accommodation?

just hit one of the tourist booths at the airport, very helpful people and will sort everything out for you if you just tell them your budget and where abouts you want to stay.

Just make sure you haggle on the price until you're happy with it!

That is certain to get you a bad room rate.
They all take a commission from the hotel
