The happy Elephant resort is situated just ten minutes from the seaside town of rawai and the beautiful beach of nai harn. This comfortable and clean resort is in a convenient location and ideal for people who wish to experience all that phuket had to offer in a quiet, gren and natural setting resort. The reasonably priced daily and mothly rates mean that the happy elephant resort is perfect for a long term stay.

Sounds very phuk@ish to me, the KWh will then be charged at what percentage over EGAT tariffs? :sarcastic:

10 minutes by car (which costs another grand per day), Phuk@ famous rip-off tuk-tuk (That's 600 per day, going back and forth once daily) or by "walk-the-walk"?

the livelier areas of Patong and Kata are just a mere 20-30 minute ride away.

So that is then by helicopter from Chalong Roundabout?

What does the Mafia charge for a ride there?

I think you're being a bit unfair with the distances, most people would probably hire a motorbike when staying in Rawai, so that would make Rawai Beach about 5 minutes, Nai Harn 10 minutes, Ya Nui Beach 10 minutes. Kata/Karen 20 minutes and Patong 30-40 minutes. Tuk Tuk tend only to be a problem in Kata/Karon and Patong.
On the other side, the prices for rooms are way over the top for the area, you can get a nice room on Rawai Beach road for 500 baht a night low season and 700-1000 baht high. If you stay longer these rates come down, also generally in high season electricity would be included.
