Most things in Thailand ou can get a cheaper price from bargaining.
So anyone got any really good strategies on bargaining with shop keepers? how many times do you haggel and how much do you usually knock off at the very start.
For me it is walking away from the offer I have agreed upon, usually the shop owner will come chasing me with a cheaper price.

Avoid places like beach road stalls and islands for your shopping fun, also avoid foreigner crowds anywhere
Fair deals can be had at any local store, outlet or market without the touristic markup

Yes and if you have a Thai with you it is an advantage.
I have a Thai friend I sometimes go shopping with and he is ruthless, he just says a price and sticks to his guns saying no I will pay you this price (with a pissed off look) and ignores any counter offer. Most of the time it works like a charm.
