I have watched a few videos on youtube on how to make a tough meat tender.
You have to either flaten it with a rolling pin or bash with meat clever and poke small holes all over the meat.
When the meat it 1cm flat, salt and pepper it and cook on high heat for 50 seconds on each side, the trick is not to cook the meat to much as it will get tough easily. Better got for medium rare as over cooked meat will always be tough.

I will try this on the weekend and report back :bad:

Also marinate in a citrus type juice over night makes the meat even softer.

Hey Ken,
I hope this works, I might try it out also.
I did try marinating the beef in pineapple juice, it did a good job but it also had a strange taste.

Problem: Beef is tough.
Solution: Go to a steak house that sell imported beef.

I used the rolling pin method, it was still hard as a rock. The only way to eat it is slice it really thin so you can chew it.
The cut that I got was not really good though, I will try again soon.

i have used the rolling pin trick and it works wiht a good cut of beef.

- Make sure the beef is at room temperature.
- roll it out to about 1 cm thick.
- make sure the pan is hot and fry it on each side for 1 minute and serve.

If you cook it any longer it goes hard, so you need to eat the steak medium to medium rare for best results.
