Money gets all off the hook

Couldn't believe this story. Jailed for abuse of a 4 year old boy and walks on a meager bail?

Hmmmm...what can we say Frank, except for the ideals of a 'bail system' that is almost universally in place and practiced throughout the world's judicial systems. One, that I personally am strongly against - certainly as it applies to capital crimes. Yes capital crime. In today's conscious atmosphere of child abuse {of every sort}, it needs to be treated as such. Clearly, rapists and murderers have little leniency by the courts when bail is called on. Why not kiddy fiddlers - though, he's only been accused. How and why such a bail bonding system has come about is beyond me.

Cat's outta the bag! If he knows he is guilty and he understands that such 'justice' will find him so.....you think he's going to hang around here to find out? Regardless of passport confiscation or restricted travel - he will flee. The point is: if the Thai authorities find this {case and issue} important, why offer bail?
