Although I'm Thai but I'm sure I've been to less places than many of you.
I've only been to Chiang Mai, Ratchaburi, Samutsongkram, Samutsakorn, Nakornpathom, Ayutthaya, Hua Hin, Koh Chang, Cholburi(Sriracha,Pattaya, Koh Sichang), Rayong (Mun Nork island, Mae Pim beach), Cha-am, Pranburi, Phuket, Phi Phi, Krabi, Kanchanaburi.
But I've never been to Isan but would love too one day.

I like Phi Phi, Hua Hin and Chiang Mai the best.

Really cool: Mae Hong Son, Umphang, Narathiwat, Loei, Amnat Charoen, Yasothon and Pattani

Then: Every island with more fish, than snorklers (hence excludes Phi Phi)

Great for a getaway: Songkhla, Sangklaburi, Pilok, Kaeng Krachan :morning1:

im from the uk.

in my 5 trips to thailand ive been to bangkok,ko samui,ko tao,ko phangan,ko phi phi,ko lanta, phuket,ko jum (ko pu) and that hellhole pattaya.

im there again in just over 2 weeks time, this time i hope to visit ko kradan,ko lipe,ko samet, and if time allows any of the other islands/resorts in the andaman sea in the trang/krabi area, possibly railay.

ive only got 3 weeks but if i had longer id also like to visit ko phayam,ko chang (small) ko chang (big) ko ngai, khao lak.

also would one day love to visit the one dayer islands (those without accommodation)

as you can probably guess im a bit of beach bum,i love beautiful beaches and swimming in the ocean...but would still also like to see chang mai, chang rai and also all of isan. B)

Forgot to mention that I've been to Trang, Ko Kradan, Emerald cav. It's really nice place to visit. Have you been to Similan islands? I've seen many stories and photos about it and would love to go there one day.

Yep, well before the nice cyanide fisherman caught the reefs empty - heard there are still a few fish left there :speak_cool: - take some picture and avoid the rip-off tours in khao lak!

I've never been to Phayao, it's a quiet town. People've been there just to pass through Chiang Mai.

Phayao from my view is a quiet sleepy place with one KFC at Tesco which is a bit far from the town centre. Tha lake is a beautiful place and there is not much for people to do and yes it is a stop, rest place for people going to Chiang Rai.
The coffer shop on the lake which make great coffee by the way, has the tour groups call in there every morning, so when I take my stroll down there for my morning coffee, it is not unusual to see bus loads of tourists.

I love the peace and quiet and I stay at the Gateway hotel, which is going through a bit of a transformation, the rooms are getting re done but the English is not the best of the staff but I must say that they bend over backwards to try and help you and find out if they can not fully understand you.

The fish is very nice there and there are a number of great places along the lake to eat great food from.

I have been up to the see the mountain temple but not the Waterfalls as yet.

For the shutter bugs there are some great views and if you are looking for GoGo bars, brothels etc then Phayao is not for you. They have a place called BM's which is the night spot to go with a live band and now the Gateway has a bar and also a karaoke bar.

Let's hope it's not turned out to be like Chiang Mail downtown.
