Hi,
Some of my friends want to go to Kanchanaburi for a few days fishing, anyone know if it is any good? Is it really worth the trip?
Any better spots closer to Bangkok?

Yep, Saraburi, Lopburi and Suphanburi boast many bodies of water full of fish, so does Nakhon Nayok. Kanchanaburi gets attractive past Thong Pha Phum, the lakes are a smacker! Anything near the City sucks. :morning1:
no pics possible here! :flag_of_truce:

The neat lake past Thong Pha Phum is called Khao Laem, fed by three rivers. The Ranti river mouth sported great fishing from houseboats :speak_cool: . Dunno, if the herds of mass tourists have reached that far yet :sarcastic:
