The red shirts really seem determined from what I have been seeing on the TV. They don't want the current government and seem really passionate about change.
What is your opinion? Do you think they will succeed? Do you think it is a waste of time and just doing damage to the country? Will Thaksin be back?

I predict that the red shirts will either win by the end of the year, or the red shirts will start to get violent.

Nothing, they will just look silly like last time.
All this hard work for no gain, only to tarnish the already damaged image of Thailand. That is one if there goals too, so at least they will accomplish that.

I was at a BBQ today in Bang Kae and the red shirts were everywhere.
I saw many young guys drinking and just having a good time. I think it is just an excuse for some guys to get pissed and run wild.

Looks like I will not get to the Dusit Zoo again, this is the second time there has been a protest and the Zoo was a no go zone. I just hope that things do not turn nasty while the Protesters move to speak with the Police and the Army for them to return to their Barracks and also join the protest.

The army should just say "who ever has a red shirt on, we will shoot"
That would sort all this problems out.

Actually the red shirts need to come to Phuket to keep the tourists away.

I apologise for my bad attempt at humour, just a coincedence about myself, any protest and the Dusit Zoo.

Then you're saying you support a militaristic despotic dictatorship? Without reasoning dissent and disagreement by the masses?

Well I think you have a poor attitude especically as there are ppl in here like myself that are going to Phuket for the first time & use this forum as a resource....... :argue: PLease don't tar everyone with he same brush..... We as tourists DONT all act the same way.....

This forum is mainly where I have gotten my information from to help me and DH plan our trip.... We appreciate all the advise & support that has been given & I will still come here after my trip to Thailand... but then again I am just a tourist . :blum2:
Thanks for your response :)
