For those who live outside Bangkok, Pattaya, Phuket or other tourist areas.
Are pubs and bars in country side different from the big cities?

@ goddess
Single friends who aren't lining a monogamous life report, that chicks in the boonies charge per week, what Phuk@ & Pattaya wasters pay for a few hours in barfines
I recall prices for all services drop about half, once you step outside BKK. Sexworkers services I don't require
Only Cambodia beats the low food prices in the Central Plains and on the Korat Plateau! Bonki's surroundings are low on house rents as is Phetchabun, Amnat Charoen and Mukdahan.

Pubs and bars in tourist/city locations are loud and brash.
Girls outside trying to lure punters in is something you won't see where I live.
The same services are available but it isn't 'in your face'
The bars are a lot more discreet which I suspect is why the weekend/week tariffs are available.
This gives you time to travel somewhere you won't be recognized.
The grapevine is very active in provincial towns and if you park your car outside any dubious places it will be spotted

I've known that Karaoke bars in country side also have sexual business involved. Bonki says pubs & bars in city/tourist area are loud and brash but isnt it funny that those who work in these areas come from country side too? Surviving in big city can change people!

Bars and pubs in the country side? Where, I live just outside Trang in rubber tree land, there are no bars or pubs, just karaoke. I agree with the poster above and drink outside my local shop. As for girls, no idea been married for 3 years, don't need them.
