Pattaya International Fireworks Festival to be held on 14 Aug

BANGKOK, 23 June 2010 (NNT) - The Ministry of Defense joins hands with the local administrative office of Pattaya to organize the 2nd international fireworks festival in conjunction with Her Majesty the Queen's 78th birthday celebration in August.

The fireworks show and contest will be held for the second time on 14 August 2010 in Pattaya, Chon Buri, marking the auspicious occasion of Her Majesty the Queen's 78th birthday on 12 August.

The highlight of the event includes the mid-water musical fireworks spectacularly put together by firework specialists from 11 countries who will also be taking part in the contest. The participating nations are Australia, China, Denmark, Germany, Italy, Japan, Philippines, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Thailand.

Besides the fireworks show, the event will also feature many other stage performances and entertainment. Over 1,000 police and military officers will be deployed to ensure safety for tourists.
