Chaweng Shopping
Chaweng has a beach road that goes all around Koh Samui and shopping in Chaweng can be an exhausting experience. Along the beach road there are the usual retail shops and market stalls too. The shopping area stretches about 6 or 7 km's
long. If you are in need of a workout and want to shop at the same time, then this is the place to go. Prices on Chaweng are a little more expensive then Bangkok's markets, but considering
most of the goods are
brought in from Bangkok to the island, the prices are not too bad. There is also local handicrafts and tailors which are reletively cheap.
One of the good things about shopping in Chaweng is the shops are mostly down one line of the street. You won't be in rows and rows of stall crossing each other and if you like something and would like to buy it later, it should not be too hard to find.
Shopping
Chaweng has many retail shops (both Thai and foreign) and restaurants, including Tailors, Pharmacies, Opticians, Jewelry shops, health spa's. There is Big C and Tops which provide fresh food if you feel you need to cook your own meals. It has everything you will need. If you get tired, it is also just 50 meters or so to the beach where you can relax in the sun.
